Benefits and
Responsibilities of Membership at our Oasis
Members of our Oasis are members
in
good standing of the Minerval Degree or higher of Ordo Templi Orientis. All of our
current members belong to the US Grand Lodge jurisdiction, but our
doors are always open to International Grand Lodge members as well. We
would also welcome members of the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica who
otherwise fulfill the responsibilities of membership, but who choose
not to take initiation in the OTO.
Benefits of Membership:
- Fellowship and fraternity within a chartered
local body of the
Ordo Templi Orientis.
- Participation in our rites and ceremonies.
- Free or reduced cost at classes.
- Access to our initiates-only events.
- Access to our Oasis Library.
- Primary consideration and sponsorship for
initiation through the
Man of Earth degrees of the OTO.
- The ability to use our ritual spaces (subject
to consensus within
the members of the Oasis as appropriate for the space) for your own
purposes.
- Exposure to, and amity with, other magicians
with a wide variety
of interests and abilities.
Responsibilities of
Membership:
- Maintenance of pax templi within the Oasis, including
straightforward communication with all other members of the Oasis.
- Fulfillment of the expectation that one's initiatory oaths
will
be respected and lived, and our mysteries studied and held sacred.
- Activity within the Oasis and attendance at our events.
- Punctual payment of Oasis dues as requested. A dues schedule
may be found here.
- Maintenance of individual membership in one of the OTO Grand
Lodges, which is an individual responsibility.
